My Father war born in 1897 and died in in 1970.
He fought in the First World War in the Cheshire Regiment in the Dardanelles Campaign in Egypt and Turkey and was a survivor of the Battle of Gallipolli.
He took the family to Kenya in 1946 where we stayed until shortly before his death when he returned to the UK with my mother.
he was a lover of the game of bowls and was Kenya champion and played with the Kenya team in the Empire games in Cardiff in 1958.
This is a portrait taken from photos at about the age of 60.
