Clarice Lispector 1920 - 1977 

She was said to be “that rare person who looked like Marlene Dietrich and wrote like Virginia Woolf”. In Brazil her fame continues to grow over 30 years after her death. Many consider her to be the country’s greatest writer of the 20th century.
